Collectors Certified Auctions – Official Auction Policy

By submitting a bid, registering, or consigning an item with Collectors Certified Auctions (“CCA”), you agree to abide by the terms set forth in this Auction Policy. These terms are binding and designed to ensure a transparent, secure, and fair auction environment for all participants.
1. Terminology
For the purposes of this policy:

“CCA,” “we,” “our,” or “the Company” refers to Collectors Certified Auctions.

“Bidder,” “you,” or “your” refers to any user placing bids or participating in auctions.

“Seller” or “Consignor” refers to an individual or entity submitting items (“Lots”) to be auctioned.

“Lot” refers to any item or group of items listed for auction.
2. Bidder Eligibility and Registration
Bidders must:

Be at least 18 years of age

Create a verified account on our platform

Agree to all terms of use, auction policies, and privacy policies
Each user may maintain only one account. Duplicate accounts may be suspended. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion.
3. Bidding Policy

All bids are final and binding.

Once placed, a bid cannot be withdrawn.

A 2-step confirmation is required to minimize accidental bids.

Bidding is available 24/7 via our website.

Notifications are sent via email when a user is outbid, as a courtesy only and not guaranteed.

A 17% Buyer’s Premium will be added to all winning bids.
Extended bidding applies to select auctions. If a bid is placed within the final 10 minutes of an auction, the timer resets to 10 minutes. This continues until no new bids are placed for 10 consecutive minutes.
4. Payment Terms
Payment is due within 7 days of auction close. Acceptable payment methods include:

Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover)

PayPal (2.5% service fee applies)

ACH (Direct Pay)

Wire Transfers or Money Orders for invoices over $20,000
Failure to remit payment within 7 days may result in automatic charges to the default payment method on file. Accounts with outstanding balances may be suspended, and winning Lots forfeited. A 30% restocking fee will be assessed on unpaid invoices.
All prices and transactions are processed in USD.
5. Shipping & Local Pickup

Orders are shipped via USPS, FedEx, or UPS within 5 business days of full payment.

Shipping fees and insurance (1.5% of order total) apply at checkout.

International buyers are responsible for duties, taxes, and brokerage fees.

Local pickup is available for eligible Lots with valid photo ID and must be collected within 7 days. Failure to do so will result in the order being shipped at the buyer’s expense.
CCA is not liable for packages marked as “delivered” by the carrier. For future deliveries, users may request signature confirmation (subject to an added $5.25 fee).
6. Returns & Authenticity
All sales are final unless a Lot is materially misrepresented. Bidders must report any issues in writing within 5 business days of receiving the item. Approved returns must be received within 5 business days of authorization.
We only accept authenticity challenges when:

The item was not authenticated by a recognized industry leader

It fails re-verification by an approved third-party
Approved authenticators include PSA, SGC, Beckett, JSA, TAG, and CPG, among others.
Items with minor wear, toning, or frame damage are not eligible for return unless grossly misrepresented.
7. Seller & Consignment Terms
Sellers are assigned tiers based on performance:

Bronze: 15% fee, $10 min

Silver: 12.5% fee, $7.50 min | Qualify: $5,000 monthly sales + $50 ALV

Gold: 10% fee, $5 min | Qualify: $10,000 monthly sales + $50 ALV
Single cards valued over $1,000 incur no commission. Unsold Lots may be relisted or returned, subject to our discretion. Withdrawals may be subject to a $20 fee plus shipping.
Display cases are not guaranteed to be returned with unsold or returned Lots. Additional authentication may be requested at the seller’s expense.
8. Image Usage
Stock images may be used for Lots with similar items, provided they match in autograph location and quality. The item received will be of equal or superior quality.
9. Disputes & Arbitration
All disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under the laws of the State of California. Arbitration will occur in San Bernardino County unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Both parties waive the right to a jury trial.
10. Abandoned Property
Unclaimed property—whether due to missing information or returned shipments—will be held for 5 business days. If unresolved, ownership reverts to Collectors Certified Auctions. We will attempt at least one contact via the email on file.
11. Reserve Pricing
Some Lots may include a Reserve Price. If the highest bid does not meet the reserve, the Lot may be relisted or returned. Lots marked “No Reserve” will be sold to the highest bidder.
12. Policy Changes
Collectors Certified Auctions reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Updates will be posted to our site and apply to future transactions.
